yo la tengo @ keyspan park, coney island - 7.13.09

yo la tengo opened for wilco at the coney island show and were really something. i've seen them play before, but only as part of a larger show (the i'm not there bob dylan tribute concert at the beacon theater a couple of years ago). this was the first time i've seen them perform their original tunes. and while i do prefer their quieter songs, i really enjoyed this performance which was LOUD. ira kaplan certainly gave me a lot of opportunities to take some fun pictures and i was knocked out by his guitar playing.
